  • You can expect to find help in a pleasant and private space. I will not judge or lecture you about your life and I will seek to help you with compassion and respect.

The more effort you put into your sessions, the more effective they will be.

We will work together towards your goals and I will value your sexuality, beliefs and right to be heard.

  • Psychotherapy aims to help clients gain insight into their difficulties or distress, establish a greater understanding of their motivation, and enable them to find more appropriate ways of coping or bring about changes in their thinking and behaviour.

Psychotherapy involves exploring feelings, beliefs, thoughts and relevant events, sometimes from childhood and personal history, in a structured way.

My background and training is in a form of therapy that integrates a broad range of Psychotherapeutic techniques and theories. Instead of being restricted to one way of thinking, we can understand and approach your issue from different directions using the therapeutic tools that suit you.

  • In searching for help, you have already decided that you want to make a change. Whether this is something that dominates your life or an irritating habit you want to stop, Hypno-Psychotherapy and Counselling are flexible and safe ways to find the change you are looking for, at a pace that suits you.

  • Hypno-Psychotherapy is a combination of Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy.

Psychotherapy (and some forms of counselling) allow you time and space to understand the root causes of your problem so that you can fundamentally change the way you feel and act.

Hypnotherapy facilitates rapid remodelling of your thoughts, feelings and behaviours to support the enduring change possible with Psychotherapy. Hypnotherapy, Psychotherapy and Counselling are all available in Salisbury or online with Assisi Therapy.

  • Yes, we can all be hypnotised. You may have already achieved a similar state whilst driving or doing the washing up. Hypnosis is a relaxing, natural and pleasant experience. You will relax just as much as you wish to and just as much as you are able. The strength of your need, your willingness to be hypnotised and your trust and confidence in your therapist all affect the quality and effectiveness of your therapy. I do not offer quick-fix hypnotic schemes, but instead bring a range of hypnotic techniques to your aid when we both feel they are suitable for you.

  • No matter how deep into trance you go and regardless of how relaxed you feel, part of you is always aware of what is happening. We are always working together to help you in the way that you want and need.

The Assisi Therapy space helps you understand that you are in a safe and tranquil environment where you will find it possible to allow yourself to engage with hypnosis in the way that is best for you.

  • Our relationship is key to the success of your therapy. You should always feel you can talk about any doubts you have during the process and at the same time I will expect you to put as much effort into your own therapy as possible.
